March meeting

The speakers at this month's meeting were Alison Wright and her husband, who told us how they rescued "Fitzbillies" independent bakers and gave it new life. This Cambridge landmark holds many memories for residents past and present, including many of our members, and it was lovely to hear how its roots have been preserved while opening it up to a new generation of customers. There were also some delicious samples of their baking and that of our committee for sale, in aid of the McMillan Cancer charity.
